Rollon by Timken is growing in Norton Shores, MI! We are seeking an HR Generalist with 2-3 years of experience to join our team and help us shape the future of our company. This position will report directly to the Global Director of HR and offers career growth opportunities. Our ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills, be approachable and trustworthy, and have the ability and desire to provide exceptional service to our employees and applicants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruiting (posting requisitions, reviewing resumes, phone screens, organizing panel interviews, dispositioning applicants)
  • Onboarding (orientation, coordinating training and introductions, securing resources, mapping out extended onboarding plans with hiring managers)
  • HRIS data entry and Applicant Tracking
  • Employee relations
  • Device assignment and coordination for new hires (laptop, cell phones)
  • Assist with building relationships within the local community to help us make a local impact (United Way, Habitat for Humanity, Veterans outreach, etc.)
  • Assist with hosting on-site career fairs and participating in college career fairs throughout the MI region where we operate
  • Assist with organizing events such as Employee Appreciation Week, Manufacturing Day, Take Your Child to Work Day


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 2-3 years of experience working in a multi-functional HR role, preferrably within the manufacturing industry
  • Recruiting experience
  • HRIS experience
  • Applicant Tracking software experience
  • Employment law knowledge (federal and state)
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally (infrequent;
    2-3 times per year)
  • US Citizen or Green Card holder (sponsorship is not available for this position)
