Hr Compliance Officer

Job Description:
The HR Compliance Officer will oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of compliance programs to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local labor laws. This role involves monitoring and auditing HR practices, conducting training, and providing guidance to ensure regulatory compliance and mitigate risks.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.
Monitor changes in labor laws and regulations, and update company policies accordingly.
Conduct regular audits and assessments of HR practices and procedures to ensure compliance.
Provide guidance and training to HR staff and management on compliance-related matters.
Investigate and resolve compliance issues, including employee complaints and regulatory inquiries.
Prepare and submit reports to regulatory agencies as required.
Collaborate with legal counsel to address complex compliance issues and develop strategies for compliance.
Maintain records of compliance activities, including complaints received and investigations conducted.
Advise management on the implications of labor laws and recommend proactive measures to mitigate risks.
Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
Participate in the development and implementation of employee relations strategies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR compliance or a related field.
In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
Professional certification (e.G., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and compliance management software.
