The Dean team at Argosy Collegiate is key to the success of our schools. The Restorative Justice Coordinators work at each campus, and work together with the Dean Team to promote a culture of high accountability yielding high academic achievement. The Restorative Justice Coordinators work to deliver restorative practices to improve outcomes for youth, staff, and families.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
While actual roles and responsibilities will vary depending on individual circumstances, the Restorative Justice Coordinator will generally be required to perform some or all of the following tasks. Note that this list is not all-inclusive and that the Dean of Students may also assign other tasks he/she deems appropriate.
Assist Dean, Assistant Principal, and Principal with enforcing the behavioral and academic standards and expectations of Argosy;
Support the completion of required forms related to disciplinary issues (i.E. detention notices, ISS/OSS notices, etc.);
Support scholars who have been removed from the classroom setting due to disruptive behavior in scholar support space;
Develop and facilitate individualized restorative learning experiences focused on scholars’ successful return to the learning environment.
Implement restorative justice systems and programs in collaboration with key personnel and administration. This may include leading groups of students to build student RJ leadership capacity.
Facilitate restorative practice interventions as needed to respond to emerging needs.
Provide ongoing restorative justice training to staff members.
Document RJ interventions and track impact over time through data collection and analysis.
Engage parents in site-based restorative practices, including training and parent dialogue circles.
Use LiveSchool to keep track of scholar disciplinary issues and inform Dean of Students of scholars with serious and/or multiple infractions;
Support meetings with parents regarding major behavioral/disciplinary issues;
assist Dean of Studentsin academic and disciplinary meetings, as needed
Collaborate with Assistant Principals, Principals, and Student Adjustment Counselors to address needs of scholars with multiple/repeated disciplinary issues as well as peer to peer relationships.
Prepare daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly positive rewards and student assemblies (in conjunction with Dean of Students);
In collaboration with the Dean of Students, monitor attendance and conduct appropriate interventions and meetings with parents/guardians.
Collect and review disciplinary records for Awards nominees
Any other duties or responsibilities related to this position as assigned by School Administration.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate’s Degree in Education or related area required;
Bachelor’s degree or above preferred
Experience in an urban and/or charter school setting is strongly preferred
Strong communication skills, both written and spoken
Creative and innovative;
able to develop meaningful connections with middle and high school age groups
Ability to work independently as well as part of a dynamic, results-oriented team
Outstanding organizational and prioritization skills and high attention to detail
Excellent with people;
outstanding written andoral communication skills
Strong work ethic, proactive and able to accommodate high level of responsibility
Proven ability to multi-task and respond efficiently and effectively to new situations
