Talent Vision, a Staffing and Consulting Firm, is partnering with a charter school in Trenton, NJ, to fill the position of Math Teacher. As a Math Teacher, you will play a vital role in inspiring and engaging students in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Your passion for these subjects and your ability to create real-world connections will help students develop critical thinking skills and prepare them for future success.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive and engaging lesson plans that align with the school's math curriculum and standards.
Deliver instruction in high school math subjects, including algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics.
Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and resources, including technology, to enhance student understanding and engagement.
Provide individualized support and guidance to students, both inside and outside of the classroom, to promote their academic success.
Assess student learning through a variety of formative and summative assessments, and provide timely feedback to students and parents/guardians.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation, collaboration, and critical thinking.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective instructional practices and strategies.
Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with research-based best practices in math education.
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant information.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field is required;
a master's degree is preferred.
Valid teaching certification in Mathematics for high school is required.
Prior teaching experience, specifically in high school math instruction, is strongly preferred.
Deep knowledge of high school math curriculum, including algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics.
Passion for teaching mathematics and the ability to inspire students.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment for all students.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, administrators, and parents/guardians.
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Proficiency in using technology to enhance instruction.
