We are looking for a dynamicHelp Desk Specialist to join our team. The Help Desk Specialist will provide technical assistance to clients with issues regarding hardware and software. The Help Desk Specialist responds to queries, identifies problems, researches answers, and guides clients through corrective steps. They will also provide technical support to clients experiencing computer hardware and software issues, respond to queries, isolate problems, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions. They will ensure client satisfaction and the ability to operate technology properly they may be having trouble with.
This position is contingent upon award.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical support and assistance to employees in person, over the phone, or via email
Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues
Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and software applications
Assist in setting up and troubleshooting network connectivity
Escalate complex technical issues to the appropriate team members
Document and maintain records of help desk requests and resolutions
Follow up with users to ensure their issues are resolved on time
Provide training and guidance to employees on IT-related topics
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in technology and industry best practices
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS)
Minimum 2 yearsof experience
Able to obtain a minimum of NACI (National Agency Check with Inquiries) for a Veterans Affairs Public Trust Tier 3 Clearance.
Required Skills:
Proven work experience as a Help Desk Specialist or similar role
Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking systems
Familiarity with help desk software and ticketing systems
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on providing exceptional service
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team
Desired Skills:
Government contracting experience
DoD and VA experience as a contractor or otherwise
Former military experience
