Perform all job functions in the Heat Treat area and assist in various departments during oven downtime. Maintain quality and safety standards;
keep records;
maintain equipment and supplies.
Principal Responsibilities:

Maintain the Heat Treat department functions and certifications.
Create fixed process work Instructions (WIs) and submit to customers for approval.
Retain all documentation for Heat Treat processes and procedures in accordance with the Quality Management System (QMS).
Train new staff in operating, loading, and unloading the Heat Treat Ovens/Freezers.
As needed, operating the Heat Treat Ovens by loading parts in/out of the appropriate oven, selecting the correct program in accordance with the parts material/thickness, per the Heat Treat Procedure Workbook.
Verify initial product quality checks and complete all processing operations.
Update related paperwork (work orders and in-process inspection sheets) upon completion of tasks.
Use required machinery and hand/measuring tools in accordance with routers and blueprints as needed.
Prepare parts for inspection.
Stand and operate machinery throughout the duration of shift, except for scheduled breaks.
Lift required objects with or without assistance, turn, load/unload required objects.
Demonstrate safe work habits.
Prepare for 3rd party and customer audits, execute and close audits.
Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly manner.
Maintain current, overall, and job specific training and requirements.
Assis 3rd party source for SAT and TUS, review and approve results and certs.
Assist in other departments as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Safe Practice Guidelines / Required Personal Protective Equipment:

Safety glasses with side shields as required.
Steel toed/metatarsal safety shoes as required.
Gloves as required.
Earplugs as required.
Welding hood, jacket, face shield, and/or gloves as required.
Fire Retardant (FR) clothing as required.
N-95 mask or respirator as required.
Seat belts required on all forklifts.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
Minimum 3 years of experience with heat treatment of metal alloys, preferably vacuum annealing and aluminum heat treatment.
Experience with audit preparation, execution and closure.
Detail oriented.
Ability to stand and operate machinery throughout the duration of shift, except for scheduled breaks.
Ability to create recipes for new product conforming to required specifications.
Manage time with little to no supervision, self-motivated.
Versatile in a wide range of operations needed in a manufacturing environment.
AS9100 Quality compliance, understanding, and commitment.
Pyrometry Certification (AMS 2750).
Experience with performing or reviewing SAT / TUSs.
High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
Minimum five (5) years of experience.
