You are someone looking to put down some roots. As a harvester, you’ll learn how to safely harvest and package mushrooms using GMI/Food Safety guidelines. You’re a hard worker who brings a positive attitude and a desire to put your stamp on company culture. You’ll be joining a team that values its employees and wants to see you succeed. This position pays:
$14/hour
Location:
Scottville, MI
What you will be doing:
Set up and tear down of harvest carts and sanitation standards.
Harvest all mushrooms to quality standards in a face-paced setting.
Be able to hit and maintain a set cut rate per mushroom variety.
To label and fill out proper paperwork daily as needed.
Daily practice of safety and food safety requirements is a must.
Help in other departments when available and directed by supervisor/management.
What you bring:
Able to climb stairs/work 6-8ft above ground, bend, twist and lift 35+ pounds daily.
Be able to stand on feet all day in a controlled environment (Temps, Humidity)
Basic math and reading skills to include comprehension.
Able to learn all the mushrooms and their maturity levels.
Problem Solving.
Focused work ethic with attention to detail and solving complex problems.
Well organized and ability to multitask.
Thorough follow through, ask questions, and think it through.
