City Wide Facility Solutions is growing and needs to add more Maintenance Techs/Handymen to handle general facility repairs, preventive maintenance, and minor construction projects at City Wide managed buildings throughout Central Maryland.
Responsibilities - just a partial list:
Perform maintenance and light repairs
Paint and fill gaps or crevices (on walls, sidewalks etc.)
Undertake light installation or carpentry (e.G. build cabinets, shelves)
Repair equipment or appliances
Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls etc.
Install appliances and equipment
Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance
Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc. and finish painting
Replace light fixtures and / or ballasts;
other minor electrical work
Drywall repair
Furniture assembly
Requirements
Proven experience as handyman/Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment
Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing or HVAC systems
Basic math skills
Good communication ability
Well-organized and good at problem-solving
Attention to detail
High school diploma or equivalent
Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)
Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulk guns etc.)
Must possess vehicle, basic hand and power tools
