Our clients company specializes in providing group and individual benefits services. Currently, they are seeking a Benefits Account Manager to join their team.
This role involves overseeing a Book of Business consisting of approximately 60-70 accounts. The position is client-facing, requiring a high level of interaction with clients and producers. The successful candidate will play a key role in plan reviews, consulting on plan changes, gathering quotes, negotiating rates, and leading open enrollment strategies.
This is a predominantly remote role with occasional in-office requirements. The company offers employer-paid medical, dental, vision, 401k, and unlimited PTO benefits.
Job Responsibilities Oversee a Book of Business comprising 60-70 accounts
Conduct plan reviews and consult on plan changes
Facilitate plan comparisons and gather quotes and estimates
Negotiate rates with carriers and clients
Lead open enrollment strategies
Qualifications Minimum of 7 years of experience in self-funded benefits account management
Experience working with independent brokers only, no captives or third-party administrators
Familiarity with carriers such as Premera, Aetna, Regence, United Health Care, Kaiser, etc.
