Graduate Civil/Geotechnical Engineer - Tailings And Dams

Job Description
AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Graduate Civil/Geotechnical Engineer to support geotechnical, civil infrastructure, and mine tailings projects as part of the Mining group in Denver, Coloradoor Murray, Utah. The position will involve working on mine tailings dam and water dam projects to conduct geotechnical investigations and analyses.
This position is expected to begin in January or May 2024.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Planning, implementing, and overseeing geotechnical exploration programs.
Assisting with laboratory testing assignments.
Performing geotechnical evaluations including material characterization, liquefaction, seepage, slope stability, and settlement analyses.
Preparing calculation packages.
Assisting with the development of geotechnical reports, drawings, and specifications.
Preparing and presenting technical presentations of evaluation results to the internal team.
Review geotechnical instrumentation and assist with the preparation of instrumentation monitoring reports.
