Job Description
This position will work an average of 10 hours a week each 9 month academic year, between 2024-2026.
Summary of Position:
The Interfaith Institute's programming includes opportunities for interfaith dialogue and classes, which feed the knowledge base of interreligious leadership. It offers service projects in the religiously diverse Cedar-Riverside community, which builds skills of intercultural and interreligious competence. And in curricular and co-curricular settings, it explores questions of meaning and purpose, developing a sensibility for interreligious leadership. The Graduate Assistant focuses on partner relations to develop programming opportunities within our community.
Primary Responsibilities
Network with potential community partners to build relationships to co-create programming opportunities.
Work with the Interfaith Institute team to develop interfaith competency co-curricular initiatives with university partners, both on the Augsburg campus and with campus partners around the country.
Assist with off-campus partnership outreach, including presentations and research for community and corporate partners.
Assist the Executive Director with marketing and communications for the Institute.
All other duties as apparent or assigned by the Executive Director.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
Sedentary work for long periods.
Regular phone and computer use.
The typical work environment is a private office.
Potential to meet with partners in off-campus community settings.
