Gourmet Ranch - Warehouse Associate

The Warehouse Team Member plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our USDA-inspected meat and poultry processing plant. This individual will be responsible for various tasks related to inventory management, equipment operation, and adherence to safety protocols.
Requirements

Use computerized inventory systems to monitor inventory counts.
Implement FIFO (First-In, First-Out) rotations for meat and poultry products.
Understand and follow USDA segregation protocols for different species of meats and poultry.
Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move products within the warehouse as well as loading and unloading truck trailers of shipments.
Safely handle and transport 60-80 lb cases of meat and poultry using proper ergonomics.
Ensure accurate labeling, packaging, and storage of products.
Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse as well as the shipping and receiving dock.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as load maps, labels, work instructions, and reports.
Ability to speak and communicate well with team members.
While not required, bilingual proficiency (especially in Spanish) is preferred to facilitate communication with a diverse team.
Work Environment:
Be prepared to work in refrigerated conditions.
Flexibility to work 8-12 hour shifts based on workload demands.
