We’re looking for people who are passionate about payments to chart FIS Networks’ path to being the largest and most-preferred national debit network. About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity that will be focused on building connections with the merchant and acquirer community, clearly articulating how we enhance their payments ROI (through best-in-class authorization rates, network reliability, and highly competitive economics), then converting those prospects into active FIS Network partners (solving our clients’ needs with a strong value proposition and executing direct payment transaction routing agreements). Expanding our team will allow us to establish new merchant and acquirer relationships while continuing to grow and expand those we already have. What you'll be doing:
As a Business Development-focused Account Executive, you'll be charged with developing and managing a strategic market segment to achieve FIS Payment Network’s long-term growth objectives Develop new merchant/acquirer accounts Identify new target merchants and segments, collecting pertinent information that is essential in developing routing agreements, i.E. close business with new merchants who accept card present and card-not-present debit card payments In parallel, you will also form partnerships with key influencers and decision makers throughout the Payments Industry Effectively manage multiple priority clients, be organized, self-motivated and successfully achieve revenue targets Collaborate with SME teams across FIS in Product, Sales and Business Lines to grow clients’ share of wallet Responsible for expanding merchant/acquirer relationships with existing clients to drive additional transaction volumes Consistently achieve client engagement metrics and proactively manage assigned clients to maintain appropriate mix of prospects at various stages of the sales engagement cycle What you bring:
Experience working with merchant acquirers, payment processors, or large merchants/corporates that utilize various forms of payment and have the scale to actively manage the forms of payment they accept Experience selling payment solutions or other ROI driving products/solutions into Finance, Treasury and/or Store operations teams Ability to work cross-functionally with our product and marketing teams to create industry thought leadership, then present thought leadership in webinars and industry/client conferences Working knowledge of payments from a mix of experience across network operations, transaction processing and/or merchant acquiring, with 5-10 years of relevant experience Influence and negotiation skills with strong agency to drive revenue for the FIS Networks - NYCE &
CULIANCE Familiar with transaction-based pricing (versus license or seat/user-based pricing schemes) and experience articulating ROI for clients Coaching and mentoring skills to develop junior GTM analysts’ BD support capabilities and help them eventually develop into Account Managers Directs planning and preparation of business proposals and provide data-based strategic direction to identify and address business issues and opportunities Experience and ability building business cases Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and with external clients in an organized, professional manner Strong organizational skills, with proven ability to manage multiple corporate relationships in parallel Ability to travel 10-20% domestically Added bonus if you have:
