The Program Administrator (PA) is responsible for the management of special and recurring projects within GME, and development of processes and procedures for organization of projects of varying complexities. The PA engages in strategic planning with the GME Manager and team for new operational processes and updates to procedures currently in use for GME program success, including such activities as e-learning initiatives, database development, improvement to the professional learning environment for GME, and strategies to promote GME physician engagement in institutional patient safety efforts and wellness. The PA independently manages all aspects of the planning, development, and execution of GME special projects and works cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes. The PA demonstrates communication effectiveness and project management discipline throughout the various phases to recognize and ameliorate problems or situations that are new and without clear precedent. The PA drives GME marketing efforts through the use of traditional as well as newer online and social networking mechanisms.  The incumbent liaisons with training programs and service departments on behalf of residents/fellows to assure that transactions with outside departments go smoothly and that fiscal aspects are accurately managed. The PA promotes on-boarding and off-boarding efforts of the department through utilization of resident management databases, including advanced reporting features, and development of secure documents such as training verifications and graduation certificates.  The incumbent provides additional training support to end users of automated GME systems to assure effective utilization of the systems, and performs analysis of data and module use by programs to proactively identify areas for improvement.  The incumbent provides oversight of facilities utilized by housestaff, such as the resident lounge and the on-call rooms. Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities and Knowledge) we are looking for:   High School Diploma required.  Bachelor's Degree preferred. 3 years of project/program support experience.     Familiarity with databases and other software programs needed for organizing projects.
Ability to express self clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to identify information needs of self and others and to devise strategies to locate needed information.
Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a demanding environment.
Ability to indepently problem-solve in performing duties and responsibilities.
Ability to continuously learn and update skills in using new computer application software.
Ability to interact effectively with Directors, Managers, internal staff, physicians (staff and trainee), and representatives of outside agencies.
Ability to handle multiple tasks, often within short and/or changing timeframes, and to complete work in a timely, accurate manner with minimal or no supervision.
Knowledge and understanding of the organization, functions, policies and procedures of the Department, and the interrelationship with the larger Cedars-Sinai Health System, and the ability to apply the knowledge to the work of the position.
Superior abilities in using Microsoft Office applications and web authoring/content management tools.

  Physical Demands: Standing, sitting, walking.  Must be able to travel to the medical center to supervise facilities used by housestaff.
