Job Description
Purpose of the Job and Expected outcome
The KPSM will manage and oversee the kit packaging leadership team and staff to achieve operation objectives that have been outlined by the Global Director. The KPSM will implement quality control that is outlined by standard operational procedures (SOP), operating at a strategic level based on multiple factors, including product management, supply chain, inventory, forecasting, scheduling, quality, and facilities planning and management. The KPSM will be expected to provide their team of direct reports with directions on materials, equipment, expectations and accountability. The KPSM will ensure project/department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met, while adhering to the budget. Ultimately – always ensure timely, accurate and secure shipping and distribution.
Key Accountabilities, Duties, and Responsibilities
Responsible for managing the Kit Packing site in which they are assigned, with the potential to step in and assist at other locations in the absence of their own KPSM (open to travel).
Maintaining a healthy work environment – responsible for maintaining acceptable turn over percentages of staff, interviews and onboarding, holding direct reports accountable.
Oversee receiving, warehousing, Kit Packing production, and distribution operations.
Initiate improvement strategies in the areas of quality, efficiency, processes and management systems.
Ensuring effective and safe use of warehouse equipment.
Communication with both internal constants (but not limited too);
Project Managers (PM), Project Managers Assistants (PMA), Data entry and Set Up. Additionally, will keep in contact with external contacts (couriers and suppliers).
Collaborates with all other required departments when required (not limited to);
Human Resources (HR), IT Department, and Quality Assurance (QA).
Maintaining documentation and keeping accurate records of all warehouse and kit packing activities.
Ensure and maintain a variety of records and logs and prepare reports as required;
maintain inventory of training records;
file records as required.
In constant communication with Global Kit Packing Production Manager (GKPPM), Global Kit Packing Inventory Manager (GKPIM) and GKPD.
Perform other duties as assigned by either Global Kit Packing Director (GKPD).
