Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Geographic Information Systems Consultant at Urban GIS. The Consultant will be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as data management, analysis, and working with geospatial data. The role is located in Greensburg, PA, with flexibility for some remote work.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Records Document Controller to join our team. The Records Document Controller will play a crucial role in managing, organizing, and maintaining all business-related documents. This individual will be responsible for tasks ranging from scanning and uploading documents to creating templates for company-wide use. The Records Document Controller will provide compliance with laws and regulations while facilitating efficient document retrieval for authorized personnel.
Responsibilities:
Scan and Upload Documents:
Utilize document management software to scan and upload paper documents, following company procedures and maintaining accuracy.
Technical Document Management:
Collect, register, and organize all technical documents, including drawings and blueprints, in the company's document management system.
Document Review and Update:
Regularly review and update documents to ensure accuracy, maintenance, and adherence to quality control standards.
Communication and Information Sharing:
Keep all personnel informed about new document versions, changes, and procedures for obtaining document access.
Cross-Departmental Record Handling:
Manage records across various departments, ensuring seamless accessibilityfor authorized personnel while maintaining confidentiality.
Confidentiality Maintenance:
Uphold strict confidentiality regarding sensitive documents, implementing security measures to protect sensitive information.
Collaboration with Team Members:
Collaborate with other team members and departments to facilitate document-related processes and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
Continuous Improvement:
Participate in the continuous improvement of document management processes and recommend enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
Data Management and Analytical Skills
Data Entry and Clerical Skills
Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Geospatial Data
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, or related field
This is an urgent position and we will be needing 2 staffs to fill in the role.
