Geologist

Hire Resolve’s client is a leading Multi-disciplinary Engineering and Environmental Services firm that is urgently seeking the expertise of a Geologist in Vancouver, WA.
Responsibilities:
Supporting site assessments/remediation, hydrogeology, and environmental risk management studies and services in both the field and office
Supporting engineering remediation system design including vapor intrusion mitigation systems (VIMS) and other soil, soil vapor, and groundwater remediation systems
Conducting environmental due diligence and environmental site assessments for real estate property transactions
Preparing accurate and high-quality technical reports, correspondence, proposals, and cost estimates
Collecting environmental data in simple to complex field situations with limited supervision
Reviewing and evaluating complex data and integrate data evaluations into reports
Contacting vendors and researching literature and regulatory requirements
Organizing and conducting field work independently or as part of a team
Requirements
Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited university in geology, engineering, or related scientific field
0 to 4 years of consulting experience in Oregon and/or Washington
Operational knowledge of computer databases and office programs (MS Access, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Teams)
OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification and OSHA 8-hour Supervisor Training preferred but not required
Strong oral and written communication skills;
ability to prepare reports and proposals
Excellent writing and technical analytical skills
Ability to effectively work on project teams
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Must have insured transportation for site visits and meetings.
Some overnight travel required both in and out of state.
Must be available to work outside of normal working hours, if necessary.
