General Labor - Construction
A local construction group is looking for a general laborer to join their team, no experience required! This company is one of the most respected general contractors/construction management firms in the region. They value teamwork and collaboration to reach the best possible result of a day’s work. We are seeking a diligent and dependable individual. The primary responsibility of this role will be assisting other team members and maintaining cleanliness and organization on construction sites, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
Starting Wage:
$18/hour, depending on experience
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 7 a.M. to 3:
30 p.M.
- July to October
Essential Duties:
Retrieve supplies and materials for the Carpenters
Assist with concrete work, set up and disassembly
Cut framing materials and other materials using saws and assist with framing duties
Safely set up staging, scaffolding, and ladders and keep all materials on project organized
Grade lumber and assist with prepping and sanding materials for staining/painting
Maintain and clean all power tools, hand tools, and other equipment, keep job site trailer and supplies organized
Load and unload materials and supplies from trucks/trailers at job sites and pack materials to specific areas on the construction site
Performs housekeeping and keeps work area clean throughout the project and removes trash and debris. Will shovel, sweep, and pick up materials by hand
Qualifications:
Ability to lift heavy materials
Willingness to work in all weather conditions
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Ability to follow instructions and work independently
Ability to lift 100 pounds occasionally, 25-50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds continuously
