Job Description
The salary range for this position is $230,000 - $270,000 annually. The schedule is full-time Monday through Friday from 8:
00 AM until 5:
00 PM.
The General Counsel - SAP will be responsible for advising on general real estate and finance and matters and reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a wide variety of contracts supporting Spectrum Acquisition Partners. This GC will partner with development, interior design, acquisition, financing, and construction teams in the organization to help evolve our real estate business, which does include acquisition, development, or dispositions of the existing and future senior housing portfolio. This leader will become a trusted advisor to senior leadership and work with diverse groups of stakeholders to get results in a complex and fast paced environment.
In this position, the main responsibilities include:
Negotiating, drafting, and/or reviewing purchase and sale agreements, construction related contracts and financing documents.
Overseeing legal issues including ongoing ventures, fund structure, property acquisitions, and investor relationships.
Managing outside counsel related to real estate development, balancing cost and effectiveness in the delivery of legal services.
Anticipating and mitigating potential legal problems within the SAP organization, providing relevant advice to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Perform insurance legal management for construction loans, as needed.
Supervise a paralegal with regard to related functions for the SAP division.
