Gastroenterology - Nurse Practitioner

Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Gastroenterologist Nurse Practitioner to join our team. Under limited supervision, you will provide advanced comprehensive healthcare to a specific patient population in collaboration with medical staff. Your role will involve performing medical examinations, evaluations, diagnoses, treatments, follow-ups, consultations, and health education tailored to each patient's age and situation.
Principal Responsibilities and Tasks:
Conduct medical examinations, evaluations, and assessments to diagnose and treat gastrointestinal conditions.
Develop comprehensive patient care plans, ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation.
Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Design and document treatment plans, including medication prescriptions, based on thorough reviews of patient histories and diagnostic results.
Communicate effectively with collaborative physicians, primary care providers, referring providers, nursing staff, and case managers regarding patient care plans.
Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, medication regimens, and health maintenance procedures.
Provide medical care to ill and injured patients in accordance with established standards of care.
Document all medical findings and care provided accurately and comprehensively in patients' clinical records.
Collaborate with other healthcare team members to assess patients' health needs, outcomes, and the effectiveness of care plans.
Initiate appropriate communication with other healthcare providers as necessary.
Maintain strict confidentiality and security of all protected health information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
