job description

The front desk role is that of administrative support to ensure consistent security coverage, ratio and payroll compliance, customer support and assistance, staff support and assistance not to include classroom coverage;
and closing housekeeping. The role acts as support to the Center Director and is the person in charge when the Center Director is off premises. They assist to oversee day-to-day operations of SWLC and enrollment.
Duties will typically include:
Assisting Families and Staff with various needs (for example:
payments, data updates, questions/concerns)
Assist w/Classroom count, ratio, and staff schedule monitoring
Answering Phones
Security Coverage
Ratio and Payroll compliance
Use of various office machines
Filing
Closing Housekeeping
Requirements

Emotional Balance - you understand that drama is for child's play and not a part of team interactions. You know how to ask for and offer support to team members without disruption to children's care.
YOU POSSESS THESE BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
Be at least eighteen years old
Associate degree or higher;
or DCYF recognized equivalent
2 years+ experience in a center or school setting
a minimum of 6 months of experience in administration or management
Strong communication skills
Professional attitude
The following are not requirements, but would be an added plus:

Proficient with ProCare
Proficient with Office Machines (scanner, fax, copier, phones, postage meter, label makers)
Familiarity with alarm and entry systems (burglar, fire, keypad entry)
Proficient with computer operations
Knowledge of basic software programs, such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher
