Individual manages the production support function for all the user groups of SAS CECL (Current Expected Credit Loss) Software. The individual will ensure all necessary reporting and analysis tasks are complete throughout the month, especially at peak times during the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting periods. The individual acts as the liaison with the Loss Forecasting, Accounting and IT teams for CECL production support. The incumbent will be a key member of the Financial Systems team and will have a significant customer-facing role within Sallie Mae. The individual must have the ability to understand user requests and their impact on the CECL process and financial reporting.***This role is open to hybrid or remote work** **What You'll Do** **Description** **% of Time Spent** Production Support &
Management - Understandsthe requirements from the loss forecasting teams and accounting teams, maintain the Base SAS code and refactor in UDL (User Defined Language). - Creates and maintains ETL (Extract Transform Load) code. - Creates and maintains code for the CECL application. - Creates and maintains configurations for CECL workflow - Performs the application administrator tasks for SAS CECL system such as project creation, user provisioning and key process execution. - Coordinates and works with IT to maintain and support the data flows to the CECL system from the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and resolve any infrastructure issues - Troubleshoots and corrects data load issues in the SAS CECL system, and make necessary changes to ensure data quality and success of downstream processes. - Liaisons with the Loss Forecasting team to implement model changes, the Accounting team to implement reporting changes, and the IT teams to support CECL infrastructure changes.60%Project engagement and Support - Acts as the subject matter expert on all CECL system related areas like configuration, set-up, reporting, systems and user testing process and migrations - Assists project team with procedures and policies needed for system deployment - Performs QA check on project deliverables - Assists with implementing policies and procedures needed for system deployment.30%Project Management - Coordinates with teams as needed during new implementations, system upgrades, and process improvements that impact the ECL system - Reviews project plans and project deliverables10%**Required Qualifications:

** - Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Finance, Statistics or Applied Mathematics or equivalent work experience - 5+ years of experience in coding with SAS software - Base SAS and SAS Studio - Extensive experience with SAS Enterprise Guide (SAS EG) - Excellent Proficiency with SQL - Project management experience - Excellent knowledge of software development methodologies - Excellent oral and written communication skills at all levels of the organization - Experience with standard desktop applications - Experience with ETL tools and data quality management - Working knowledge of Linux system - Prior experience with enterprise-wide system implementations - Ability to travel to other Sallie Mae offices, or for training / conferences ( - Prior work with web-based platforms - Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Access skills - Interface development and testing - **Accountability** - Hold self and others accountable to meet commitments. - **Collaboration** - Build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives. - **Communication** - Develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences. - **Customer focus** - Build strong customer relationships and delivers customer-centric solutions. - **Decision quality** - Make good and timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward. - **Instill trust** - Gain the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity, and authenticity.**Preferred:
