Financial Controller

Overview:
We are in search of a detail-oriented and seasoned Financial Controller to become part of our expanding team. In this role, the Financial Controller will oversee all financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, and adherence to accounting practices. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in both finance and management, outstanding communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of corporate finance and accounting standards.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition
Lead the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, and report on variances
Ensure the timely publication of monthly financial statements
Oversee regulatory reporting
Investigate technical accounting issues for compliance
Aid in the month-end and year-end closing processes
Maintain quality control over financial transactions and reporting
Adhere to and manage local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
Formulate and document business processes and accounting policies to reinforce internal controls
Accurately analyze and present financial reports in a timely manner;
effectively communicatemonthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements;
keep senior leadership informed of the company's financial standing
Requirements:
Demonstrated experience as a Financial Controller
A minimum of 7 years of combined experience in accounting and finance
An advanced degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA or CMA is preferred
Extensive knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
Proficiency in creating financial statements
Familiarity with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
Expertise in accounting software usage and administration
Exceptional leadership capabilities
Superb interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and manage effectively at all organizational levels
Robust problem-solving skills
