Job Summary:
Takes responsibility for high quality customer service specific to student accounts by implementing the college financial aid procedures, policies, and guidelines. Person interacts with students, parent, and the public community on a daily basis. Must be able to communicate financial information in a professional and courteous manner, to help students and parents understand their financial accountability to the college. Participates in school activities such as graduation exercises, open houses, and new student orientations. Vigorously upholds a culture of personal integrity, discipline, and accountability. Duties &
Responsibilities
Provides financial aid counseling to students and parents regarding all aspects of financial aid processes. Makes necessary referrals to other student services offices.
Effectively communicates to students, parents, and other constituents the details of all major financial aid applications and programs (including but not limited to regulatory requirements).
Counsels prospective and enrolled students on all aspects of financial aid, to include financial management and budgeting practices, as appropriate.
Maintains knowledge of federal and state regulations, and university policies related to financial aid programs to ensure the proper processing and documentation of awards.
Responsible for following-up with students and making sure they submit their necessary documents.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher
A minimum of (3) years of professional experience in the financial aid office
