To support our growth we are seeking an ethical and process driven Finance Director to lead our international finance funtion. This is a senior management role that directs all finance activities across the Clinigen Clinical Supplies Management unit (CCSM). Leads and drives the CCSM business unit Finance Team and has responsibility for ensuring the management of key activities of budgeting and forecasting, internal reporting, FP&
A, P&
L, BalanceSheet, and Cash Flow management are all performed to the highest quality and service standards.
This role is a key point of collaboration with the SVP Clinical Supplies Management and the associated leadership team to consistently challenge how the business is run and provide the levels of insight, analysis, and management information to underpin sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Take individual and collective responsibility for delivering world class customer service to internal stakeholders to increase the value of the business
Continually drive enhanced visibility of EBITDA through improved management reporting that leads to substantial efficiencies through a focus on procurement activities
Develop and implement a vision and structure that brings together and integrates the business unit's Finance team to ensure:
The highest level of service to the SVP and business users for all finance business partner activities, directing the US Financial Controller and VP of EU Finance as appropriate
Development and achievement of department financial KPIs for business unit
Reliable and consistent flow of information for enhanced P&
L, balance sheet and cashflow visibility
Consistent approach to accounting standards to ensure a robust financial framework
Help to develop and deliver an accurate budget and a rolling 3-5 yr. business plan for the business unit
Drive the most appropriate reporting structure to allow responsibility to be taken by commercial leads
Proactively deliver value added insight through right first time accurate, timely and relevant financial reports
Work with wider finance team on cashflow management to ensure optimum financial position throughout the year
Help delivery increased business unit value through engaging with the business to drive synergies and procurement benefits
Take an active role in the provision of IT &
Digital systems and tools to ensure joined-up approach across the business unit
Provide advice, sharing best practice and support to the business unit in a timely and effective manner
Develop clear objectives linked to the above which can be provided to the team as part of the finance strategy
People Management:
Build and manage a high-performing, collaborative team that works in line with the Group’s values at all times
Ensure the appropriate level of resource and expertise is in place and is structured in the most effective way to deliver the strategy
Ensure the team have clear objectives in place and they understand how these relate to the KPIs and the BU and Group level strategy
Ensure all team members have development plans in place and regularly reviewed
Provide regular feedback to direct reports. Proactively address underperformance
Ensure effective communication of key messages to the team from across the Group
Identify top talent and ensure there is a plan in place to retain them, keep them engaged and maximize their potential
Recognize and celebrate success on a team and individual level
Requirements
Fully qualified Chartered Accountant (CIMA, ACA, CPA or equivalent) a plus
US based this role will operate 2 days per week onsite our Malvern office.
Demonstrable experience in a similar position
Prior experience of clinical supplies management
Demonstrable business and commercial awareness
Experience of leading a multi-site/international team
Experience of tax and international accounting
