This role is responsible for defining and driving data governance within the Finance organization. The preferred candidate will be subject-matter experts in the Finance domain. They will work closely with leaders and process owners within Finance to enable the implementation of data policies and standards.
Drive vision and strategy for elevating data as a critical enterprise asset
Partner across finance teams and cross-functional teams to align on required metrics, standard definitions, appropriate data use cases, and identification of subject matter experts.
Establish and maintain relationships with finance and technical teams to drive engagement and enthusiasm for data quality standards.
Become finance partner for data &
metric definition consistency across ServiceNow
Partner in the development and enhancement of financial data quality metrics
Manage the monitoring and enforcement of data governance policies (e.G., access, classification, quality, and storage/retention policies
Develop and maintain broad knowledge of financial applications that generate, transform, store, or serve data
Develop strategies and intelligent automation to ensure that data are captured correctly at source. Maintains data lineage and transformation rules across systems.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive data dictionary of key Finance data attributes along with definitions and calculation logic.
Work with various technical and finance teams to understand and document data quality issues and implement strategies for mitigating.
Act as an evangelist across finance, driving appropriate use of data for informed decision-making
