Responsibilities:
The School of Music, Art, and Theatre at North Park University seeks a String Pedagogue for University Orchestra starting August 2024 and ending December 2024. The candidate will lead technical string pedagogy during orchestra rehearsals (Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:
30 – 6:
00 p.M.), support students, and will play with orchestra in rehearsals and performances. Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Requirements
Bachelor degree in Music
At least 5 years of teaching experience
Skilled violinist or violist
Strong and collaborative leadership skills
Experience using innovative pedagogical approaches
Proven success in classroom and applied settings
