We are looking for skilled and talented Facilities Manager who is responsible for the effective functioning of Skyborne Airline Academy facilities to provide an efficient and safe working environment for employees and students by using best business practices to manage resources, services and processes to meet the needs of the company.
Facilities include administrative buildings, dormitories and office buildings. Manage and coordinate the staff and activities to ensure optimal functioning and maintenance of all building properties. Direct the maintenance of all building systems including mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety and plumbing. Prepare and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
Manage and train employees in the general maintenance of buildings, grounds, infrastructures, and equipment. Ensure facilities maintenance work follows safety standards, conforms to specifications, and work orders are tracked and completed within the budgeted guidelines. Oversee contractors engaged for facility renovation projects. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. Ensure that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhere to approved budgets.

Conduct and document regular facilities inspections.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and industry codes.
Supervise maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment.
Oversee facility refurbishment and renovations.
Implement best practice processes to increase efficiency.
Obtain quotes from vendors and suppliers and calculate and compare costs for goods and services to maximize cost-effectiveness.
Negotiate contracts to optimize delivery and cost saving.
Coordinate and monitor activities of contract suppliers.
Manage contractor and vendor relationships.
Manage and review service contracts to ensure facility management needs are being met.
Ensure delivery schedules, quantity and quality criteria are met.
Check completed work by contractors and vendors.
Verify payment and invoicing match contract pricing and monitor expenses and payments.
Plan and monitor appropriate facility management staffing levels.
Ensure efficient utilization of facility maintenance staff.
Performance manages, develop and train staff.
Generate and present regular reports and reviews of facility-related budgets, finances, contracts, expenditures and purchases.
Develop and implement cost reduction initiatives.
Advise on and monitor energy efficiency.
Oversee environmental health and safety.
Assure security of the facility.
Respond to facility and equipment alarms and system failures.
Provide prompt response to requests and issues from facility occupants.
Counsel and evaluate facilities department staff members.
Participate in activities including supporting and promoting the safety culture, reporting of all aviation safety related issues via the feedback system, and adhere to the processes related to accomplishing SMS goals.
