Fabricator - Metal Shop

TWOSEVEN is a multidisciplinary design/build firm located in Brooklyn, New York. We specialize in creating store window displays, retail interiors, and showrooms for high-profile fashion, luxury, and lifestyle brands in NYC and beyond.
We are looking for an experienced fabricator to work closely with our Metal Shop Manager. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of professional experience working in top-level fabrication shops.

Full-time position or freelance as needed.
Primary responsibilities:
. TIG weld:
steel, stainless, aluminum, brass
. Accurately measure, cut, sand, and prepare parts
. Layout and weld without deflection or deformation
. Problem-solve, find solutions quickly and calmly
. Work on a wide range of projects withvery short timelines
Requirements
. Ability to understand and work from renderings, shop drawings, or hand sketches
. Passion for high-quality work + ability to work quickly
. Attention to detail
. Strong knowledge of shop machinery, handheld, electric, and pneumatic tools
. Flexible schedule that allows for occasional overtime, weekends, and overnight install shifts
. Excellent communication skills
. Ability to handle strenuous physical work when required
. Works well with others in a creative, culturally diverse team environment
Ideally familiar with:
. Machining (Mill and lathe)
. Mirror polishing and grained finishes in stainless, brass, and aluminum
. Ironworker with punch, shear, and break
. Sheet metal fabrication, shear and press break
. Bending and rolling:
tube, sheet, and bar
. Fixture tables, jigs, and hold-downs of all types
. Woodworking machinery and processes
. CNC equipment and capabilities (router, water jet, laser, etc.).
. Creative projects and people
