We are looking for a skilled and detailed-oriented Estimator to join our Operations team in Germantown, WI. The Estimator will be responsible for cost estimation through calculating material, labor, and equipment costs based on project requirements. This role involves close collaboration with our Commercial Project Manager’s to ensure the customers’ needs/wants are met. The Estimator will also create bid preparation for potential clients and project owners that outline the project scope, cost breakdown, and proposed timeline. As an Estimator you will play a crucial role in our company’s success by accurately estimating project costs and ensuring that all bids are competitive and profitable.

What you will do:
· Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications and other related documents
· Maintain professional communication with subcontractors and vendors
· Develop engineering dates and steel building delivery dates prior to the Job Flow meetings
· Consult with Sales when there are discrepancies on plans and proposals
· Review and analyze bids to determine potential risks and opportunities
· Review past job history to compare to current projects
· Estimate jobs for materials, labor, equipment, rental equipment, and subcontractors
· Attend check-set meeting and construction team meetings
· Help train new employees when it applies to steel buildings, product knowledge, and building constructability
· Monitor job cost reports and discuss discrepancies with construction team
· Other duties as assigned
Ideal candidate will have:
· Experience working in an estimating role (Preferred)
· Associate’s degree in construction management or relevant field (Preferred)
· Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and practices
· Strong math and computer skills
· Excellent organization skills including time management and multi-tasking
· Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
· Experience in estimating software
· Accountability – ability to accept responsibility and account for own actions
· Goal Oriented – ability to stay focused on the task objectives and perform in accordance with clear expectations and goals
· Self-Motivated – ability to reach a goal or perform a task with little supervision or direction
