Job Description
AECOM Technical Services, Inc. has multiple openings for a Estimator II to be based in Tampa, FL.
Job Responsibilities:
Understand and review Pay Estimates provided by Contractors.
Develop preliminary work breakdown structure (WBS) for the cost estimate.
Assist in providing construction cost estimates from conceptual design development stage through final design development construction documents for transportation infrastructure related projects.
Research current market conditions, pricing, statewide average pay items, and other historical data to provide accurate costs for individual components in the cost estimate.
Provide estimates dependent on the level of the design development where costs estimates could have a breakdown by labor, equipment, and material.
Verify historical data rates with current rates for labor, material, and equipment.
Understand market labor shortages and business risks and current rates.
Communicate between the different disciplines of the design team, suppliers, sub consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders related to the project about cost impacts and major risks.
Understand how cost can be impacted by the schedule.
