We are currently seeking a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our Estate and Trust Department. Our Estate and Trust team works with clients in administration of estates and trusts, including analysis of related documents, preparation and review of tax returns, and fiduciary accounting.
As an Associate, you will gain general and specialized tax exposure and perform tax-related research projects. Prepare various types of trust, gift, estate, and individual tax returns. Assist in managing estate administration and complete special projects as assigned. Responsibilities
Prepare trust and estate income tax returns
Prepare gift tax returns
Prepare estate tax returns
Prepare fiduciary accountings
Assist with initial preparation of client files
Assist in researching technical issues
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field with 150 credit hours
0-3 years of estate and trust experience
Minimum 3.0 GPA and a solid track record of academic achievements
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
Familiarity with Internal Revenue Code, tax law, and tax processes
Familiarity with accounting software and workflow programs:
CCH Axcess Tax, CaseWare, Workstream, and Maconomy.
Ability to be flexible to changing circumstances and client needs
Exemplary communication and organizational skills
Strong desire to learn and develop professionally
