Environmental Specialist

We are seeking a Certified, experienced and dedicated Environmental Specialist to join Back Roads Services. As an Environmental Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and implementing sustainable practices. You will work on a variety of projects related to environmental management, data collection, and project engineering.
Responsibilities
Contributes to the Back Roads Services effort for continuous improvement and risk avoidance as these factors relate to environmental matters
Conduct environmental assessments and surveys to identify potential risks or impacts
Assist in the development and implementation of environmental management plans
Collaborate with project teams to ensure compliance with environmental regulations
Provide guidance on environmental best practices and recommend strategies for minimizing environmental impact
Support project management activities, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
Conduct research on environmental laws and regulations to ensure compliance
Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications:
Must Be Certified in one of the following:
OPSWPPP, CESSWI, CPESC, CISEC or CEPSCI
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
Strong knowledge of environmental laws and regulations
Experience in project management, including budgeting and scheduling
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to collect, interpret, and present data effectively
Strong written and verbal communication skills
