Environmental Sampling Technician

Your new role
As our new Environmental Sampling Technician, you will be responsible for collecting samples from various environmental media, including water, soil, and air to assess remedial system performance, identify potential sources of contamination, and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. You will also be responsible for collaborating with other team members to support remedial system report development. This role is critical in monitoring environmental health and supporting remediation efforts.
Your key responsibilities will be:
Conduct fieldwork to collect environmental samples (water, air, soil, and biological samples) in accordance with established procedures and protocols
Use and maintain a variety of sampling equipment, such as pumps, gauges, and GPS devices
Prepare reports and documentation of sampling activities, including any anomalies or pertinent observations
Collaborate with a team of environmental professionals to develop remediation strategies and pollution prevention plans
Adhere to quality control measures to ensure the integrity and accuracy of samples and data
Your new team
You will be part of Site Solutions within the Environment and Health department in Syracuse, New York. You will work with a team focused on providing solutions for environmental remediation projects. You will collaborate with colleagues to develop your environmental sampling skills and deliver professional results on a variety of projects. Your team will primarily focus on performance verification sampling at multiple existing remedial sites, providing opportunities for professional development and growth.
