Job Description
AECOMis seeking anEntry-Level Electrical Engineeringto be based in Chelmsford, MA.
This position is expected to begin immediately.
This Entry-Level Electrical Engineer position will work under the supervision of a senior electrical engineer to perform the following functions. The work would involve a variety of new and upgrades to existing water treatment facilities, water booster pump stations, and wastewater pumping and treatment facilities.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Design low voltage and medium voltage electrical power distribution systems for heavy industrial water/wastewater applications, as well as, traditional building services.
Perform electrical system designs including:
Switchgear
Switchboards
Motor control centers
Variable frequency drives
Generators
Transformers
Distribution panels, and
Other electrical power distribution system components
Perform design for lighting, fire alarm, telephone, security, and grounding systems.
Prepare design drawings including single-line diagrams, electrical plans, wiring schematics, schedules, etc.
Perform electrical system calculations using power analytical software packages (Ex. SKM, EDSA, and Easy Power).
Perform electrical system studies and calculations (load, harmonics, voltage drop, lighting, short circuit, coordination, and arc flash).
Review and coordinate instrumentation, control system process P&
IDs, mechanical and HVACsystems and design its related electrical systems.
Support the development of electrical equipment specifications.
Verify compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards/practices.
Coordinate with other in-house engineering disciplines as needed.
