We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead our on-premise and cloud assessment efforts for the My Army App. This role is pivotal in aligning our IT strategy with the organization’s mission, leveraging technological trends to ensure our infrastructure supports and enhances business objectives. You will be at the forefront of analyzing business needs, recommending technological frameworks, and ensuring that our on-premise and cloud environments are optimized for performance, scalability, and security.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with business and technology groups to align technical solutions with company objectives.
Define enterprise-wide architecture, direct large-scale integration efforts, and set technology environment standards and guidelines.
Document current state architecture, develop domain capability models, and create technical roadmaps.
Ensure proposed technical solutions enable and drive the company towards meeting its mission and vision.
Analyze enterprise business context and technological trends to derive future state architectures.
Foster good relationships with colleagues, IT professionals, engineers, and leaders to ensure customer service levels are met.
Apply architectural and engineering concepts to design solutions that meet operational requirements.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree or TOGAF certification preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in an IT architectural or technical leadership capacity.
Solid understanding of cloud-native, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
Proficiency in at least one cloud platform (Azure, AWS, GCP).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong leadership, organization, and analytical thinking skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with the specific technological and operational challenges of the military or similar complex organizations.
Demonstrated ability to work in high-stress environments and deliver mission-critical solutions.
Deep knowledge of architecture and integration patterns.
Previous experience in developing or assessing applications for military or defense use.
