Engineering Technician

Qualis Corporation is seeking a Engineering Technician with extensive knowledge of RF, radar, and electronics to join our team of well qualified, diverse individuals at our Huntsville, AL office.
Essential Functions:
Provide RF technician support as required.
Setup, integrate, and teardown system RF apertures, system control and monitoring equipment, and support equipment.
Procure and utilize all required non-GFE mechanical and RF components to complete prototype development.
Facilitate the shipping and logistics required to execute developmental tests.
Perform maintenance for system prototypes.
Perform troubleshooting for system faults and anomalies.
Support and perform integration tests, performance tests, and experimentation.
Support technical interchange meetings (TIMs).
Requirements
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred, but not required.
Must have a minimum of 10 years of relevant RF experience.
Active DoD Secret Security Clearance required. Active Top Secret Preferred.
Demonstrated hands-on experience is required to assist with the design, built-out and testing of RF architectures.
Effective communication and writing skills.
Ability to operate within, and contribute effectively to, a team structure.
Strong understanding of RF component characterization.
Strong background, and hands-on experience, in the use of VNA, XNA, PNA, spectrum analyzers, real-time spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, digital waveform generators, communication diagnostics, waveguide systems, and antenna characterizations.
Understanding of RF propagation, basic electromagnetics, and RF components (e.G., amplifiers, mixers, limiters, antennas, switches, etc.)
Background in, or ability to learn, maching of components for use in RF prototyping
