Role and Responsibilities:
As the Engineering Manager, you will be integral to the site management team, reporting directly to the General Manager. You will oversee the planning and engineering operations in a 24/7 aerospace manufacturing facility, ensuring the production of high-quality metallic and composite components and assemblies.
Key responsibilities include:
Directing daily department activities and developing manufacturing plans.
Creating and maintaining engineering drawings and documentation.
Coordinating with CNC programming and functional teams for part manufacturing.
Managing configuration throughout the product lifecycle.
Reviewing and distributing customer engineering specifications and requirements.
Supporting production, procurement, and quality teams with engineering documentation.
Leading continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department.
Managing and developing a team of direct and indirect reports.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in manufacturing engineering.
Supervisory experience in aerospace manufacturing.
In-depth knowledge of AS9100, FAA standards, and industry regulations.
Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical specifications.
Strong understanding of configuration management principles.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Experience with ERP systems (preferably Infor Visual) and engineering software (preferably Catia V5CAD/CAM).
