Resource Innovations is seeking an Energy Efficiency Engineer to join our growing team in Massachusetts.As an Engineer, you will work in a dynamic environment, supporting large scale commercial and industrial energy efficiency programs. You will complete technical reviews of energy efficiency projects for completeness and eligibility for participation and support the customer through the application process. This includes communicating with applicants and program partners and utilizing software tools to validate and process project data. Additionally, you will complete site inspections to verify pre- or post-install project information. You will also work cross-functionally, including providing technical support to the outreach team to identify customer opportunities and to the management team to understand changes in technology and standards. Duties and responsibilities:
Application Review:
Rigorously assess energy efficiency project applications, ensuring they adhere to technical specifications and meet eligibility criteria.
Verify the completeness and accuracy of project details to align with engineering standards.
Communication and Issue Resolution:
Engage with applicants and partners to resolve technical queries and ensure seamless integration of energy-efficient solutions.
Prioritize timely communication to maintain a high level of customer service within the technical realm.
Technical and Customer Support:
Provide in-depth technical support to program participants, offering expertise on energy-efficient technologies and engineering solutions.
Empower participants with the knowledge needed for successful project implementation.
Inspections:
Execute on-site inspections with a keen eye for detail, verifying the installation and operation of baseline and replacement energy-efficient equipment. Implement rigorous quality control measures to uphold engineering standards.
Energy Savings Calculations:
Execute and scrutinize energy savings calculations, utilizing engineering principles to evaluate the efficacy of energy efficiency projects.
Quantify the environmental impact and contribute to a data-driven approach to project assessment.
Staying Informed:
Stay abreast of the latest advancements in energy-efficient technologies, industry best practices, and program requirements, including a thorough understanding of the Technical Reference Manual (TRM).
Leverage this knowledge to make informed engineering decisions.
Process Improvement:
Collaborate with the team to identify engineering-focused opportunities for refining program tools and processes.
Streamline workflows and enhance technical procedures to optimize the execution of energy efficiency projects.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field of study is required
A valid US Drivers license and the ability to travel locally up to 20-50% of the time for inspections is required
Experience with data entry and reporting
Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Customer service oriented
Ability to use software solutions to support efforts:
Excel tools and spreadsheets, online applications, CRM platforms, etc.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
2 or more years of work experience with Commercial and/or Residential electric or natural gas utility energy efficiency programs is preferred
Experience with technical project reviews for energy efficiency projects is preferred
Experience with building systems including lighting, HVAC, refrigeration, and compressed air is preferred
