Job Description

Position:
Employment Specialist 1 (Human Services)
Location:
Haverhill, MA
Rate of Pay:
$19.55 per hour (plus a $20 biweekly stipend for 2nd language)
Hours:
20-25 hours per week – Full Time
Schedule:
Monday-Friday;
Day Shift with flexibility
Summary:
Assist clients with disabilities in searching for and obtaining competitive employment. Manage anddevelop employment relationships between clients and community employers, providing access to an array of employment. Responsibilities include vocational guidance, job development, job placement, employer education, job coaching and customer relations. Assist clients with all thing’s employment from, resume writing, interview skills, travel training and job etiquette. Fluency in Spanish is required.
Qualifications:
High School/GED or Hi-SET plus 3 years related experience OR Associate’s Degree, plus 1 year related experience and/or training. One year of human service experience preferred but not required. Knowledge of and respect for diverse populations.
Requirements:
Ability to use computers to include Microsoft Word, data entry, email, and internet essentials.
Must have a valid driver's license, 3 years driving experience, good driving record, use of vehicle and willingness to transport participants in personal vehicle.
Must be able to travel within the region to access residential settings, employers, offices, and community organizations.
Individuals with human services, job coaching, and career counseling experience strongly encouraged to apply.
Fluency in Spanish Required
