Sibylline is looking for a motivated early-career intelligence analyst to join us in an embedded role within a globally dispersed intelligence team. The role will based onsite in Mountain View, CA. Using the latest industry technologies and practices, IntelligenceAnalysts identify, analyze, and advise on and threats and risks that could affect the client’s people, operations, and data.
This position would suit anyone with a strong interest in global security affairs who wants to continue building their career in threat monitoring and analysis. Althoughwe are ideally looking for someone with experience in intelligence or risk management, we also welcome applications from anyone with related experience and skills (e.G. research, think tanks or journalism)with a demonstrated interest in global affairs and technology.
A flexible mindset is critical for this role, which involves daytime shift work, working on a schedule of 4 days on, 3 days off (Tues-Fri/Sat-Tues). The role will be entirely based in the client office in Mountain View, CA.
Applicants for this role require the ability to research and analyze a wide range of information to create insightful analysis in accordance with strict deadlines, including presenting and incorporating relevant data and visualizations. Due to being embedded, the candidate will engage directly with clients to provide immediate support and consulting. This requires emotional intelligence, creative thinking, maturity and judgement in order to successfully interpret client requests and provide insightful information.
The Security Analyst will be managed by the embedded team leader on a day-to-day basis, but will also report to Sibylline’s Embed Operations team in London. Full support and guidance will be provided from our head office;
including training, professional development, and access to our global network of Sibylline analysts.

Duties and Responsibilities
Use all-source intelligence (including alert feeds, traditional and social media, and in-house sources) to monitor for security incidents and trends within the client’s areas of operation and locations and determine the likely impact to staff, assets, operations, events and reputation.
Escalate security incidents to client stakeholders, following efficient and rehearsed procedures.
Maintain visibility on employee movements and their proximity to notable incidents and events, advising accordingly through required reporting methods.
Produce intelligence products on a range of physical and cyber threats and risks.
Monitor and respond to threat actors and persons of interest (POIs), developing an assessment of their intent, capability and tactics.
Support internal stakeholders with ad hoc reporting on geopolitical developments, scenario planning, forecasts and other related topics.
Display creative thinking and consulting skills to deliver a continually improving service for the client.
Be an effective member of a small team, focused on delivery of lean, high-impact services.
