We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager with a focus on large government projects. This role is instrumental in the successful execution of technically complex electrical projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a proven track record of managing government projects, and the ability to oversee approximately 10-15 projects annually with a focus on quality and precision over high volume.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Coordination:
Lead the planning and coordination of large-scale government electrical projects from initiation to completion.
Collaborate with clients, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
Technical Expertise:
Utilize in-depth technical knowledge to oversee and guide the execution of electrical installations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Provide technical support to project teams and troubleshoot complex issues as they arise.
Budgeting and Resource Management:
Develop project budgets, closely monitor expenditures, and ensure projects are delivered within budget constraints.
Efficiently allocate and manage resources, including personnel and materials, to optimize project outcomes.
Government Compliance:
Stay abreast of government regulations, codes, and standards relevant to electrical projects.
Ensure that all projects adhere to government compliance requirements and facilitate necessary inspections.
Client Communication:
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring overall client satisfaction.
Quality Control:
Implement and oversee rigorous quality control processes to guarantee the highest standard of workmanship in every project.
Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project specifications.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
Proven experience in managing large government electrical projects.
Strong technical background in electrical systems and installations.
Skills and Abilities:
Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
