Electrical Supervisor
Position Summary:
Directly oversee, manage, and coordinate the activities of electricians, apprentices, helpers, and temporary workers.
Essential Functions:
Lead by example and implement quality control measures.
Inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to ensure safety and compliance with specifications.
Prepare and provide documents such as Jobsite Safety Analysis, Jobsite Hazard Analysis, and safety reports.
Interpret and track project schedules to offer two-week forecasts and manpower requirements based on project goals.
Read specifications and blueprints to plan procedures and determine construction needs.
Maintain basic computer skills.
Track and complete weekly timesheets using an IPAD or computer tablet.
Manage and request materials and supplies.
Supervise, coordinate, and assign tasks to electricians, apprentices, helpers, and temporary workers.
Collaborate with management, trade partners, other departments, and contractors to coordinate activities and resolve issues.
Locate, measure, and mark site locations for structures and equipment using measuring and marking tools.
Analyze worker performance, identify potential production problems, and recommend solutions, such as improving methods or implementing motivational plans.
Train workers in construction methods, equipment operation, safety procedures, and company policies.
Meet all requirements as an electrician and perform tasks typically assigned to electricians.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Training and Certifications
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (G.E.D)
- Licensure as an electrician OR
- 4-10 years related experience or equivalent knowledge and experience
Working Conditions
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (Hard hat, vest, protective eyewear, safety boots.)
- Work is performed indoors and outdoors, often exposed to the natural elements of cold, heat, moisture, and wind.
- Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 LBS on a regular basis.
- Must comply with the companys drug and alcohol testing requirements and background screening process.
