Job Description:
We seek a motivated, experienced Full-Time Estimator to join our team. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs and providing competitive bids for electrical installations and services. This position offers a base salary of up to$75,000 per year with an unlimited commission plan and additional benefits, including a company vehicle, gas card, and one-half of the cost of health insurance.
Responsibilities:
Review project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to understand the scope of work.
Conduct on-site visits to assess project requirements, identify potential challenges, and gather relevant information.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment needed for electrical projects.
Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to clarify project details and address concerns.
Develop competitive bid proposals and present them to potential clients professionally.
Negotiate contract terms and pricing with clients to secure new business opportunities.
Track and manage project estimates, budgets, and expenses throughout the project lifecycle.
Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to electrical estimating.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an Estimator in the electrical industry, preferably in light commercial and residential settings.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and installation methods.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
Excellent mathematical and analytical skills for accurately calculating project costs.
Effective communication and negotiation skills for interacting with clients, vendors, and team members.
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Willingness to travel to project sites and work flexible hours as needed.
