AECOMis actively seeking a talented and highly motivated Electrical Engineer with a PE license for immediate employment in our Tampa, FL office. This position will work within the Building &
Places (B+P) organization and will provide expertise in relation to Buildings, Facilities, and Site practices within B+P.
Ideal candidates have a strong background and interest in vertical building development as well as the related Site development, having the ability to be part of a collaborative project team, be client-focused, and produce great works. This individual will participate in all aspects from project identification through conceptual and final designs and providing support activities during construction.
AECOM’s Buildings + Places practice includes architecture, interiors, building engineering, workplace strategy, master planning, urban planning, civil engineering, and landscape architecture. Our Tampa office includes all disciplines and regularly works across offices and the region.
The Electrical Engineer position presents an opportunity for a candidate to excel in their expertise and contribute to growing our Electrical Engineering B+P expertise and team, leadership growth, and mentoring teams. The position will also provide for growth in client relationships and internal relationships across offices and region. The job responsibilities for the position will include, but may not be limited, the following:
Serving as lead electrical engineer on a variety of building and site project types, including mid-to large size projects.
Able to organize workload and work independently on project-specific design tasks and lead project staff.
Able to communicate and present with Clients, and discuss/explain technical solutions to project conditions.
Performing quality control reviews of work developed by others.
Providing technical input to studies and design assessments, with expertise for benefit of client and/or team.
Coordinate scope, schedule, budget in working with project managers and other senior level team members.
Using AutoCAD and Revit, as working platforms for delivering design.
Mentoring and providing guidance to junior level staff for specific technical design aspects and professional service.
Provide direction to prescriptive and performance based specifications.
Participating in development of technical proposals (including estimates for the engineering budget and schedule)
Reviewing permitting agency/engineering standards and regulations necessary to develop proper project design and permitting applications.
Work closely with other departments from the AECOM project team/office, including civil, building engineering, architecture, geotechnical, traffic engineers, Federal team, landscape architects, and surveyors to provide value and partner in project opportunities.
Participating and supporting site field investigations and construction related activities.
