Electrical Designer

CM Engineering is a growing Consulting Engineering firm located in Charlotte, NC. We are currently seeking a talented Electrical Designer. As an organization we are fully committed to sustainable design.
We are seeking a designer with consulting engineering experience that will be responsible for schematic design through construction administration for offices, retail, condominiums, industrial and multifamily residential projects.
Summary:
Performs engineering assignments with clear and specified objectives and involves conventional types of plans and specifications. Work is reviewed by Project Managers for the application of sound professional judgment.
Requirements
2+ years of experience in power, lighting, fire alarm, data and telecommunication building systems design.
Electrical Power Distribution Circuiting Design
Lighting and Lighting Controls Design
Emergency Systems Design
Fire Alarm System Design
Power Distributions Systems Design
Knowledge of Revit is a plus and strong Auto Cad skills including ACAD is required.
Excellent report writing ability.
Proficient in Microsoft software, particularly Excel including Word, Outlook.
Multi- family and commercial power and lighting design knowledge a plus
Work tasks will also include conducting energy audits, developing energy efficiency improvements, identifying renewable energy and conservation projects, Utility Incentive Submissions for ECM’s, etc.
