Position Overview:
As an Echocardiogram Technologist, you will perform cardiac ultrasound diagnostic procedures as ordered by our esteemed staff physicians with minimal supervision from the Imaging Management team. Your expertise will play a crucial role in delivering top-tier healthcare services to our patients, ensuring accurate diagnostics and exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct echocardiograms and other cardiac ultrasound procedures following established protocols and standards.
Prepare and position patients for ultrasound examinations, ensuring their comfort and safety.
Utilize advanced ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
Analyze and interpret ultrasound data, providing preliminary reports to physicians.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure timely and accurate diagnostic information.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures.
Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated with the latest advancements in echocardiography.
Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
Ensure equipment is well-maintained, troubleshooting any issues as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of Medical-Cardiac Ultrasound or equivalent training.
Upon hire:
National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or
National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained upon hire
Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association is to be obtained upon hire
Minimum of 1 year of experience in echocardiography.
