job description

Help transfer materials from truck to jobsite in construction site conditions.
Load, transport, unload, and furnish experienced craft workers with materials, tools, equipment and supplies.
Assist Mechanic with assigned tasks;
hanging and securing drywall, position and install metal studs.
Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and work pieces during installation.
Use appropriate hand (i.E. hammer, screwdriver, wire strippers, wrenches) and power tools (i.E. drills, threading machine, grinders, saws) to fit and install all types of materials and components.
Maintains a clean work area and protects structures or surfaces near work areas to avoid damage.
Restock supplies and materials as necessary.
Measure, cut, and bend materials to the right size with degrees of supervision.
Mixing compound to desired consistency.
Cleaning and preparing surfaces for applications of materials, such as by drywall taping.
Perform any other routine duties as directed by experienced craft workers.
May include working at heights or in trenches or excavations as needed.
Requirements
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred)
Preferred Skills and Abilities:

Basic hand and power tool skills
Ability to read and use measuring tools such as tape measure
Ability to work and communicate with others
Analyze information and evaluate problems
Ability to safely work at heights
Ability to learn and follow our extensive company safety policy
Work safely with all members of the crew
Willingness to travel, with frequent overnight stays. Hotel and per-diem provided
