Set up of automation department and organization.
Manage Engineering Manager responsible for design and selection of control systems of larger processing plants (PLC, Networking, DCS And SCADA).
Prepare the control strategy for NA plants
Study current machines, utility designs, and layout to find opportunities for process and/or engineering improvements through automation.
Develop automation and control project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans and align with stakeholders.
Prepare automation and control project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends and recommend actions.
Provide support and direction to Maintenance personnel who are managing field activities.
Provide strategic project management services to the operating departments. Provide ongoing support for Plant Operations, including advances in automation, servo control, robotics, and the application of sensor technology.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
BS/BA is required, ideally in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related.Masters, MBA is strongly preferred.
10-15+ years of engineering, controls, and automation experience in a manufacturing setting is required;
prefer industry-relatedexperience such as:
consumer products, foods, snacks, high-speed packaging, or other closely related food / CPG manufacturing environments
Automation and controls engineering experience is required, prefer capital projects, robotics, high-speed packaging equipment, project engineering management and related
Thorough knowledge of TPM is preferred.
Strategic level director experience managing multiple sites
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Good planning and priority setting skills.
