Student Success Services, the Director of Enrollment Management establishes the vision and provides leadership, budgetary and operational oversight for the college's Enrollment Services and Outreach &
Admissions areas. This position oversees all aspects of the college's outreach/recruitment, admissions, assessment, registration, credential evaluation, student records, enrollment management, as well as oversees the Kodiak Corner One-Stop student services front counter staff. This position also serves as the College Registrar. The Director of Enrollment Management is a member of the Student Success Services Leadership Team. The incumbent supervises both full and part time employees as well as student employees. This position works frequently with students, faculty, staff and other community constituents.
As the Director of Enrollment Management, it is expected that the following qualities will be demonstrated daily:
a high degree of understanding and empathy for all students, faculty, staff and visitors, as well as the ability to encourage the inclusion of all voices in decision-making, promoting equity in all areas, and actively working against institutionalized norms of oppression against historically marginalized people.

Essential Duties
Program Development

  • Oversee the Strategic Enrollment Management team, made up of faculty and staff, to develop and operationalize an enrollment management plan.
  • Provide leadership for areas of outreach/recruitment, admissions, registration, assessment and reception for Kodiak Corner "
    One-Stop"
    Student Services Center.
  • Establish standards and set priorities for admissions and registration.
  • Oversee staff use of ctcLink PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Pillar and/or future systems, ensuring staff utilizes software properly for admissions, registration, and records transcription. Act as the Subject Matter Expert for software set-up for quarterly enrollment, updates and maintenance.
  • Coordinate the daily operations of the Outreach &
    Admissions and Enrollment Services areas, providing support to professional and classified staff, student employees, students, faculty and staff in their efforts to provide seamless services to visitors of the center.
  • Provide leadership for the Student Ambassador program.
  • Provide direct oversight of the Kodiak Corner unified front counter and its staff;
    encourage and promote their role as a support service for all Kodiak Corner functional areas and the first point of contact for visitors to the center.
  • Represent Enrollment Services and the Kodiak Corner and Outreach &
    Admissions on campus and community committees.


Registrar

  • Serve as the college Registrar and Records Officer to manage the evaluation and posting of accepted credits, ensuring the compliance in the award of degrees, diplomas and certificates.
  • Assure compliance with student information regulations and laws in regard to enrollment verification and release of student information.
  • Oversee and assure confidentiality of student records and college information, and assure compliance with the Federal Education Records Privacy Act (FERPA).
  • Interpret and enforce Washington State residency law and determine residency status for students.
  • With the assistance of the Assistant Director of Enrollment Services, ensure the timely and accurate submittal of all mandated enrollment reporting to the Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges and the Clearinghouse.
  • Develop annual and quarterly schedules for registration cycles for new and returning students.
  • Assist with the quarterly graduation process in verifying degrees and graduation requirements and assist with planning the commencement ceremony (requires attendance at commencement ceremony).
  • Provide leadership in the management information systems for the State of Washington applications, staff training, and development of the following applications:
    admissions, registration, schedule changes, and admissions and registration functions. Provide training to other groups within the college re:
    FERPA requirements, student management system and enrollment procedures.
  • Implement and maintain the National Student Clearinghouse enrollment verification process and reporting.
  • Oversee the evaluation of incoming transcripts and graduation evaluations.
  • Serve as a standing member of the Student Learning Council, Cascadia's curriculum committee.
  • Oversee assessment of student basic skills for course placement purposes.
  • Utilize enrollment data to strategically inform and/or guide the Executive Team when necessary.
  • Maintain professional standards by interpreting and enforcing for students, faculty, staff, and administrators, the rules and regulations that govern registration, grades, grade changes, withdrawal dates, tuition refunds, un-met pre-requisite schedule adjustments and warning/probation/dismissal and others.


Supervision

  • Hire, train, supervise and provide leadership for full-time and part-time professional, exempt and classified staff and other student employees as needed.
  • Coordinate the timely reporting of work hours for exempt and classified staff, and student hourly employees, and communicate payroll information to those employees.
  • Serve as the Acting Vice President for Student Success Services in the absence of the VP.


Financial

  • Has delegated responsibility for administering all Outreach &
    Admissions and Enrollment Services budgets.
  • Responsible for approving fund exceptions due to administrative error.
  • Ensure compliance with appropriate state and college accounting rules and regulations.
  • Participate as necessary in financial audits.
  • Provide regular budget expenditure reports and revenue/enrollment projections to the VP for Student Success.


General

  • Support the college's mission, vision and values.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Three years of experience working in student services at a postsecondary institution.
  • Three years of supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated commitment to and interest in diversity, equity and inclusion and the ability to support a multicultural workplace and educational environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Student Development Administration, Education, Counseling or relevant field from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Three (3) years of management experience in enrollment services (recruitment, admissions, registration, retention services).
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing programs that promote retention and completion rates for traditionally underrepresented student populations.
  • Experience using technology in the delivery of student development and advising services.
  • Ability to successfully communicate (written and orally) in a language in addition to English.


Physical Work Environment
Semi-Sedentary Work:
Involves staying in a stationary position to a significant degree. Jobs are sedentary if moving is required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
The College is currently in hybrid operations, with many assignments completed in an online environment during this time. Full-time employees are expected to be on-campus at least three (3) days per week with the option to work remotely for the remainder of their working days. Employees will need to provide their own remote workspace and internet access, noting the College will provide technical equipment and support for online work needs. During on-campus operations, this position will perform work in a standard office setting, use standard office equipment and physically attend meetings both on and off campus and requires the ability to communicate in person or through appropriate means.
Positions in this class typically require operating a computer, communicating, observing, and repetitive motions.
This position involves exerting between 10-30 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to transport, put, install, remove, or otherwise move objects, with or without reasonable accommodation.
